Dermal Fillers
Facial dermal fillers rejuvenate the face replenishing its lost volume, attenuating wrinkles and restructuring its base tissue.
When dealing with small to medium skin wrinkles the doctor can recommend the use of hyaluronic acid, Radiesse® (Calcium Hydroxyapatite) or Ellansé® (Polycaprolactone), customizing the treatment as per the patient’s skin characteristics and the desired duration of the results.
HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic Acid is a non-permanent substance which is very well tolerated by the human body, with an estimated average life of 9 month before it is absorbed.
Among its qualities the most remarkable are its instantaneous hydrating and tissue-restructuring effects which result in an increase in skin volume and turgidity. That is what makes acid hyaluronic usage so common in the field of aesthetic medicine.
CALCIUM HYDROXYAPATITE (RADIESSE)
When volume loss and skin wrinkling are very noticeable, the use of Radiesse filler is advisable. This product is a gel of tiny calcium hydroxyapatite spheres in a suspension, denser than hyaluronic acid.
As well as immediately providing the skin with volume these spheres stimulate the production of collagen around them. Collagen shapes and tightens up the skin’s tissues. Once Radiesse has been absorbed by the body the collagen grown around it stays, keeping skin’s volume and smoothness for at least 12 months.
ELLANSÉ (POLYCAPROLACTONE)
For those patients that desire an even more lasting effect we offer them Ellansé filler. It is a gel containing tiny polycaprolactone (PCL) spheres which have volumising and collagen-growing properties similar to those of Radiesse. However it has longer-lasting effects:approximately up to two years.
